Our Story – The TLC Dog Walking Journey

I’m Tori Lynn Crowther, and my journey with dogs began as a trainer over 30 years ago. In 2006, I recognised a growing need for professional dog walkers—at a time when dog walking wasn’t even considered a proper job in the UK! People were surprised when I told them what I did, but I saw the potential to offer a truly skilled and reliable service.

As demand grew, I began employing and training dog walkers to uphold the highest standards of care. Over the years, TLC Dog Walking has built a reputation for professionalism, reliability, and expertise.

Since lockdown, dog walking has become an oversaturated industry, with many inexperienced walkers offering cheap services to make extra money. Unfortunately, this has led to poor standards—dogs being walked in large groups, walked for less time than promised, or never let off the lead due to a lack of control and training. Many of these walkers won’t last long, but in the meantime, pet owners are left struggling to find a truly professional service.

At TLC Dog Walking, we do things differently. We are trained, insured, and highly experienced. Our GPS login and out system ensures full transparency, and our private Facebook updates let you see exactly who your dog was out with. With team leaders overseeing everything, we guarantee a smooth and professional service.

We also specialise in walking and training dogs with behavioural issues—the ones that other walkers won’t take on because they require too much effort. We believe every dog deserves proper care, structure, and enrichment, and we only walk small groups (typically 3-4 dogs) to ensure safety and quality. Unlike some walkers who take out 10 dogs at a time just to maximise profit, we prioritise the well-being of every dog in our care.

To continue improving my skills, I am currently completing an advanced dog training course, ensuring that TLC Dog Walking remains the gold standard in professional dog walking and training.
